You do not need to find someone who specialises in your exact issue. Our therapists regularly work with many overlapping challenges and will tailor sessions to your needs. If you are looking for face-to-face sessions, most people choose a therapist based on location. If you would like a wider choice of therapists and greater flexibility, online sessions can be a good option. If you are unsure, we are happy to help guide you."

Research shows that online therapy can be highly effective for a wide range of concerns. Our therapists are experienced in working online and focus on creating a supportive, structured and confidential space, whether you are attending from home or elsewhere. Online sessions also offer greater flexibility and a wider choice of therapists. If you prefer in-person support, that option is equally available."

You may want to understand recurring conflict, rebuild confidence after a breakup, reflect on patterns in past relationships, or work on how personal challenges are affecting your current relationship. You do not need your partner to attend in order to benefit from therapy. Individual sessions can provide clarity, perspective and practical ways to respond differently."

"text": "This is a common situation and it can feel frustrating or disappointing. While some couples choose to attend together, you can still benefit from therapy on your own. Individual sessions provide space to explore your feelings, understand relationship patterns and gain clarity about what you want and need. Sometimes, when one person begins to reflect and respond differently, the dynamic in the relationship can shift. And if your partner later feels ready to attend, that option remains open."

"text": "Yes. All sessions are confidential and follow the BACP Ethical Framework. There are a small number of situations where confidentiality may need to be broken. This would only happen if your therapist believes there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or if there is a legal obligation to disclose information, such as a court order or safeguarding requirement. Wherever possible, your therapist would discuss this with you first. However, if immediate action is needed to ensure safety, your therapist may need to contact your GP or emergency services."

If you feel unable to raise it with your therapist, or the matter remains unresolved, you are welcome to contact us and we will take your concerns seriously.
