Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to commit to a set number of sessions?
No. All sessions are booked individually — you pay per session with no obligation to continue. CBT typically involves 6–12 sessions, but you're always in control.
Is online therapy as effective as face to face?
Research suggests that therapist-delivered online therapy can be effective for many common mental health difficulties. Suitability and outcomes depend on the person, condition, therapeutic approach and circumstances, and both formats cost the same.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payment is taken securely at the time of booking.
Can I claim my sessions on private health insurance?
We do not bill insurers directly. Clients should check reimbursement requirements with their insurer before booking. Booking and payment documentation is provided in line with the current booking process.
Are sessions recorded?
Therapy sessions are not recorded by CBT & Counselling Surrey or the booking platform. Clients must not record sessions without the therapist’s prior written agreement.
Can I switch between online and face to face?
Absolutely. You can choose your preferred format each time you book — there's no need to commit to one or the other.
