My name is Rose, and I’m a fully qualified and experienced Psychotherapeutic Counsellor based at CBT and Counselling Weubridge. I hold an MSc in Forensic Psychology, a Higher Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, and a Professional Certificate in Relationship Counselling.
I specialise in adult individual therapy, offering a safe, supportive, and confidential space for you to explore your unique challenges in order to find a way forward.
Perhaps you’re finding it hard to communicate effectively, feeling stuck in a cycle of negative thoughts and emotions, or encountering difficulties in your personal life. You’re not alone—emotional and personal struggles are incredibly common. However, they don’t have to define or limit your well-being and growth.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Instead, I will empower you to achieve your unique personal goals. Whether that’s improving self-esteem, resolving past traumas, managing anxiety or depression, or gaining greater clarity on your life’s direction.
In our therapy sessions, I’ll take a Person-Centred Approach. Which means I will focus on your specific care and needs as an individual. Together, we’ll work on rediscovering healthy coping mechanisms and reshaping any unhelpful thought patterns. If you are happpy to, we may also explore your past experiences and life events. This fosters a deeper self-awareness, understanding and self-compassion.
As a dedicated counsellor, I have refined my expertise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) an effective approach that empowers clients to tackle challenges by reshaping negative thought patterns and behaviours. My skill in CBT techniques enables me to guide individuals on a journey of self-discovery, helping them recognise and adjust unhelpful cognitive distortions that contribute to emotional distress.
Together, we will develop practical strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and depression in a supportive environment where lasting change can thrive. My commitment to evidence-based practices ensures that each therapeutic journey is grounded in proven methods, tailored to meet the unique needs of every single person who walks through my door.
My professional journey began with hands-on experience as an unqualified Social Worker. where I supported various councils within London and Kent. A significant part of my career has been dedicated to nurturing the mental well-being of children and young individuals. In this capacity, I collaborated closely with families, educational institutions, and multidisciplinary agencies, ensuring a comprehensive approach to promoting mental health
Parallel to my professional endeavours, I embraced the role of a volunteer mentor at a Christian organisation. This broadened my perspective and enriched my understanding of diverse communities. Driven by a desire for continuous growth, I completed a Level 3 qualification in Psychotherapy and Counselling. This educational journey not only enhanced my skills but also ignited a profound interest in supporting vulnerable groups, equipping me with the necessary tools to provide compassionate and comprehensive care.
Ethical Standards – Adhering to the highest professional standards set forth by NCPS and BACP. Which means, I maintain strict adherence to their ethical guidelines. Furthermore, I prioritise ongoing supervision and Continual Professional Development (CPD) to continuously enhance my skills and knowledge. This unwavering commitment ensures that the service I provide to my clients is of the utmost quality, enabling me to offer the best possible support throughout your therapeutic journey.
